The current administration would prefer to have you believe that unions are powerless and on the wane.  Unions are alive, well, and vital resources for protecting American workers.  We are at a difficult time in America.  We must speak truth to power.  Our solidarity will allow us to endure, survive, and prevail.
Monday night, August 29 at 6pm,  we can discuss orchestrated attacks on unions, the
Wal-Mart boycott, the Working Families  Coalition,  and the reorganization of the  AFL-CIO.  We will discuss how unions are adapting to the new globally-interconnected workplace and disappearing blue collar jobs.  We must unionize new service positions to avoid hi-tech sweatshops where calls are monitored and keystrokes recorded.       Unions must invest in both communities and the political arena.  We want good jobs, health care, equitable pay, pensions, and a voice in the workplace.
                                                                                  Join us August 29th, 2005!
