  Proofreading

          Proofreading and rewriting your work:
          Have you accomplished your purpose?
Is the writing appropriate for your audience?
Who can read your work to give you feedback for rewriting it?
          Will a tutor help?
          Is the essay organized appropriately?
Is your  tone suitable for the subject, purpose, and audience?

        Tone
refers to the emotional quality of a piece of writing.  It reveals an
author's attitude towards his or her writing and audience.
If you write an angry letter to a company when you are unhappy, you may
be less likely to get the result you desire.  You should modify your tone
from anger...to a more respectful attitude.  Expressing your frustration
in anger or sarcasm may do more harm than good.  Appropriate tone
         matters.

When there is a contrast between what people say and what they mean,
          this is called
Irony
.

IRONY is an implied discrepancy between what is said and what is meant.
         Three kinds of irony:

Satire is a type of writing which uses ridicule to create awareness of
flaws.  Satire relies on exaggeration and distortion and may have a
         humorous effect.  According to
OneLook
Satire is a literary technique of writing or art which principally ridicules its
subject (individuals, organizations, states) often as an intended means
               of provoking or preventing change.
