SOPHOCLES’ ANTIGONE    FALL 2008

Music director Dana McCray

ANTIGONE – must read 18 – 25 yrs. Daughter of Oedipus.

CREON – mature.  A reluctant ruler, obliged to restore order to troubled region.

MALE CHORUS (7) of wounded Greek soldiers – very challenging work.
Must move well, sing, act.
Over 18, but age otherwise unimportant.

                       All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.  All roles are paid.

cerf imageThe Barry Cerf Memorial Theatre and Garden Area, or amphitheatre, was constructed in 1936, on the southwest corner of the lake, with the aid of the National Youth Administration. Commencement was held there-in good weather-until 1970. Today, the space is used for nature-gazing and theatre productions.
