Read the editorial
section of the newspaper and choose one article which
deals with a topic which interests you. Prepare an essay that summarizes
the main ideas, identifies the author's point of view, and gives your own
opinion on the topic.
The article (or a copy of the article) and your finished essay should brought
with you to our next session in a folder and labeled with the date and name
of the edition of the newspaper. If you are happy with the result, after
editing
a final draft, you can respond as a "Letter To The Editor." You may choose
to send your response to the newspaper to be published.
