I was born in St.
Louis, Missouri. I am fit,

slim, and in good health. 5'7" tall and weigh
160 pounds... For the past four years, I have
lived in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
I'm a writer, editor, & professor. To relax, I read, write,
bicycle, hike, go to the movies, visit the river, ride motorcycles, or cultivate the
garden. Sometimes I go fishing, canoe, and have been known to snowboard. I
also enjoy pool games, cribbage, boating, camping, chess, and dominos...I I plan to move
to a new place this winter. My "family" in Oregon includes cats and my dog
Kobuk, but am blessed with lots of family including ten nieces and nephews...in
the Midwest. I also own a house in Missoula which is home to three thousand books
and some chickens... The house is registered as a library with the city of Missoula and I
plan to build a gallery there one day.
I'm a spiritual man. Faith, for me, is not knowledge of what he mystery of the universe is, but the conviction that there is a mystery, and that it is greater than us. Life is good.
