Rhetoric is rhetoric. Iran has not invaded anyone. And they have no offensive nuclear capabilities.
But the United States has invaded and occupied Iraq. And used illegal
weapons and tactics in the
process. So far the casualties are between
300 and 700 hundred thousand people. The United
States has threatened to use nuclear weapons, polluted Iraq with nuclear residues, and
proposes to develop nuclear weapons in abrogation of
signed treaties. The leader of the United
states feels empowered to attack anyone, anytime, without the consent of congress or the
American
people...and does not feel compelled to abide by decisions of the
congress, rulings of
the court, or civil, constitutional, or international law.
Which nation has caused the most grief in the last five years?
Which
leader has proven himself most dangerous?
These are fair questions. Talk is cheap. Behavior matters.
Besides its border war with Iraq fighting as
our proxy 20 yrs ago-when has Iran attacked anyone?
And who won that war?
"The spread of evil is the symptom of a
vacuum. whenever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral
failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no
compromise on basic principles."
