Middle East Peace: The Options and Obstacles |

| Iraq and the
Middle East, why we cannot afford to alienate friends and antagonize
enemies. It's just not smart. Lieberman should know better... Conflation, Collusion, and Continuous War are not the answer. |

Bush and his ilk "need" more troops in Iraq to hold onto no-bid, cost-plus contracts which are rank treason. It is high time we put a stop to this corporate welfare, at taxpayer expense, which is costing American and Iraqi lives in pursuit of war-profiteering by Bush's base. Sorry, but the propaganda does not cut it anymore... 80% of Americans have rejected military-industrial partnerships for endless occupations and unending war. This surrender can no longer be tolerated... The conflation of Saddam's secular Iraq with Saudi Arabian terrorists is neither helpful nor useful. Lieberman's diatribe is vapid fear-mongering and idolotry at its worst. His conterproductive and counterintuitive behavior is costing American lives in Iraq and Jewish lives in the Middle East. He cannot retire too soon. Any congressperson who does not understand that Iraq is in a civil war, needs to be removed from office before they get any more Americans killed. Any idiot knows that our corporate occupation and exploitation of Iraq has NOTHING to do with the Saudi Arabians who attacked America. Even Mr. Bush, in his sociopathic idiocy, has acknowledged that much. Mr. Lieberman knows better. His abdication of leadership is a tragedy. As for our exploitation of Iraq being "winnable," Mr. Lieberman only proves that he is incapable of leadership by pretending that the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, and the Iraq Study Group are all wrong, and that only Dick Cheney's investments matter. Our commanders in the field have told us this is an unwinnable civil war which has nothing to do with American interests. It is time we end this wrong-headed occupation and rejoin the community of nations who find security it peace, rather than blood-soaked profit in endless wars for corporate hegemony. As for Iran and Syria, the machinations of the corporate cabal who own George Bush have strenghthened their hand. And the continued waste of our time, resources, and personnel in the exploitation of Iraqi national resources is a tragic misuse our our military which will haunt us for the next half century. What Lieberman's "Jewish" fundamentalist straw man, and Bush's "Christian" fundamentalist delusions have most in common, resonates with Osama bin Laden's "Islamic" fundamentalist crusade. Most of the globe has no more patience with any of these quasi-religious crusades which have nothing to do with mainstream Jewish, Muslim, or Christian traditions. Their arrogant disregard for human suffering is criminal. We cannot afford more terror cloaked in "religion." tmf best regards, Tim
