The print copies will be distributed during In-service and at various union meetings at the beginning of the term. Any member can also pick up a copy at the Union office on the Sylvania Campus.

1.  Here is the current online issue of The Gathering, published online this August 22nd,

Below is a tentative publication schedule for the next six issues of The Gathering.

2.  The next issue must be complete by September 7, 2008.  This issue will be available for distribution during In-service and at the various campus representative meetings on Sylvania, Cascade, Rock Creek Campuses.  Will also make some available at the Information Desk of each campus or they can be picked up at the Union Office.  1000 copies should be sufficient for this beginning of the 2009 school year Issue.

3.  The October Issue of The Gathering will be an online publication.  Any submissions, letters, ads, or information must be submitted by September 21st for inclusion in this online issue.

4.  The November  Issue, in order to be published and ready for online and/or print publication must be completed by October 15 in order to be done and ready for distribution by November 1st, 2008.  This should probably be a print issue distributed via mailboxes on November 1st, so that members have information for voting. (2000 copies)

5.  The December Issue, in order to be published and ready for online and/or print publication must be completed by November 15 so that it can be in Mark's hands by November 20, in order to be done and ready for distribution by December 1st, 2008.   If printed for distribution on December 1st.  (2000 copies)|

6.  The January Issue of the Gathering, in order to be ready for publishing online, must be completed by December 15 so that I can have all the information to publish it online on January 1st. 2008.  A print issue seems unnecessary for this issue, since students and teachers will be out of town or in transit.  No print issue, online only.

8.  For all subsequent monthly issues of The Gathering, information, calendar events, meetings, articles, pictures, etc... must be submitted no later that the 15th of the month so that the magazine can be in production by the 20th, for publication no later than the last day of the month, for distribution between then and the first of the month.

"Although it is true that only about 20 percent of American workers are in unions, that 20 percent sets the standards across the board in salaries, benefits and working conditions. If you are making a decent salary in a non-union company, you owe that to the unions.  One thing that corporations do not do is give out money out of the goodness of their hearts."   Molly Ivins
