Hello, I have not heard from you in a while..
Let me know when is a good time and place for you.  I hope Meagan's writing and reading are going well.
I am available at Beaverton Library Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Lake Oswego Library on Fridays and starting Mid-March, in downtown Portland on Monday and Thursdays www.writingresource.info/tutor.html  best regards, Tim
here is Meagan's page:  www.writingresource.info/meagan.html
Perhaps after spring break would be a good time to begin.  Let me know..
This Resource Page serves as a basis for an individualized student resource page.
Each student requires special resources.  After our first meeting, Meagan's page will include resources specific to her reading and writing skills.  Nicole's e-mail is micann@hotmail.com.  Not sure if Meagan has an e-mail....  Here are some 4th grade resourcesOnce I learn Meagan's interests, this page can feature information and resources to help her learn how to understand what she reads.  We can begin our sessions whenever you contact me to let me know...  I could see Meagan as soon as it fits your schedule.   Here is my phone 503-697-1670
and my mail  tim@writingresource.org
We could meet at the Beaverton Library (upstairs) when you are ready..

Let me know!    Here is an assignment for our first tutoring session.
  1. Stories to read - .
  2. Animal Myths and Legends -
  • Pick a story to read from above, and then write one page telling me what you liked best about the story...

If you have time, write a second page, telling me about yourself.  What are your
    interests, hobbies, favorite subjects, etc...

Take a look at these resources:  We will review them and look at the bigger picture of reading.
Know how to locate the name of the author, illustrator, the title page, table of contents, index and chapter headings   These resources are part of a larger piece:   The Reading Guide

After an evaluation of Meagan's writing, I will provide appropriate assignments to help develop her reading and writing skills so that she can understand what she reads and communicate what she knows.
