Right-wing spinsters claim those who are
the "left wing" in America are
"hostile to Israel," nothing could be further from
the truth.
Most of the American left cherishes Israel as the rightful home
of the Jewish people.
When right-wing nutcakes like George Wallace were standing in doorways
to freedom, left-wing labor leaders and Jewish activists stood together
with Martin Luther King to help America live up to her creed. 80% of
American Jews oppose George Bush, and a larger percentage have
consistantly opposed the wrong-headed, poorly-planned, undermanned, and
precipitous aggression against Iraq.
The Bush administration's position with regard to Israel and the
conflict there has ranged from blind indifference to obstructionism.
George Bush is no friend of the Jewish people. This is why he is
roundly opposed by most Jews and their advocates across the globe.
Most thoughtful people understand what is needed in the Middle East.
Peace, justice, compassion, and strong leadership. There are solutions
possible. But not under the aegis of this American administration.
The Bush administration has shown little interest in proactively
working for peace, stability, and reconciliation through cooperative
coalitions and diplomatic initiatives.
They shoot first, ask questions later... if at all... and then lie or
change the subject when they don't like the answers. Chaos and
instability in the Middle East keeps the price of oil high. This
president and his lieutenants have shown little concern for the
collateral damages inflicted upon Palestinians, Jews, Iraqi's or anyone
else who stands in the way of transnational corporate adventurism.
These are incompetent and amoral traitors who need to be purged from
our government and prosecuted for their crimes.
