The
Bush administration has net job losses. Any recent increase in job
creation is a good thing, but the glass is half-empty. And the "new
jobs" created pay less and have less benefits than the jobs lost due to
the misallocation of resources and misplaced priorities. It is best to consider temporal changes in context: "In sum, today’s report presents a much less negative view of the job market than did last month’s report. However, there is clear evidence of a slowdown in job growth and the unemployment rate appears to be on a slowly raising trendline. Job and wage growth of this magnitude are consistent with an economy that is not falling into recession, but not growing at its full potential. If this diminished rate of job growth persists and unemployment continues to rise, wage and income growth will eventually slow down as well." Facts remain. Jobs Picture, October 5, 2007 The pattern of payroll job gains and losses across industries continues to reflect primary problems in the economic sector www.epi.org/content.cfm/webfeatures_econindicators_jobspict_20071005 Click here to comment Here to blog Or here to discuss |

We have net job losses after seven years of George W. Bush.
The "new" jobs we have pay less than the old jobs we lost. The only "economic recovery" we have seen is a transfer of funds from the US treasury. (US taxpayer funds) into transnational corporate bank accounts. This so-called "jobless recovery" has nothing to do with jobs or recovery. The good jobs we have lost are not comparable to the dribble of jobs being created without benefits or a living wage. These thugs have bankrupted every state in the union in order to line the pockets of their sponsors. This is the military-industrial fascism which Eisenhower warned us about. Other responsible Republicans, in the Eisenhower tradition, are appalled by George and the lawless rogues who run him. Those of us who still believe in laws, freedom, and what this nation stands for... must form coalitions, educate our fellow citizens and fight back.
Those who would rather not know these facts need to face reality © 1995—2006 Студия Артемия Лебедева
This is a class war. The corporate elite
and the richest 1% are winning, while most of America loses more
benefits, equity, pensions, health care, and job security each year. |
