War-Mongering has become a growth industry.  We need to nip it in the bud.
Powerful political forces in Washington are fishing for a pretext  to launch a war on Iran..

We "lost" in Vietnam because the war was un-winnable.  The US government, a stand-in for French occupiers, was indeed in the wrong.  We delayed the self-determination of the Vietnamese people, but inevitably had to give back their nation.

In Iraq, we are once again on the wrong side of history.  We installed a dictator, then removed him, only to occupy Iraq and enforce corporate colonialism and exploitation paid for with American and Iraqi lives.
We will lose in Iraq because our president and his sponsors did not learn from history, but chose to repeat past errors.

On Israel and America
When leaders in all nations base their platforms and policies
on ethical behavior and become accountable for the consequences of their actions, then our civilizations
and cultures will move forward towards peace,
prosperity, progress, and integrity.

The History of War Speaks Volumes

Here is a great opportunity to learn from the women of Iraq about life in Iraq today.  Yanar Mohammad, Director and Founder of the Organization of Women's Freedom in Iraq,
has been living in Iraq since the beginning of the occupation, and continues to work
towards freeing the women of her country.  In a letter to Madre, Yanar describes the current situation for women in Iraq. To read the letter visit:   www.madre.org/programs/iraqupdate07.html

People have seen and read about Palestine In the news. But what is really known about Palestine?
What do we do for fun? What do we eat?  What do we think of the outside world?
What is daily life like under military occupation?

What is seen on the news IS NOT the ENTIRE story…  We would like to invite anyone who is interested,
and the families in their  communities to visit Holy Land Trust, a nonprofit organization based in
Bethlehem, Palestine.  We are engaged in great programs for  the year 2009.
This is a real opportunity to experience the Holy Land in a unique and life-changing way.
