“If the American people heard these stories..."
Bookmark This Page! The American people deserve accurate
information, not only about Iraq.
Most of the latest
research validates our suspicions regarding the importance
of mass media. And beyond that validation, the research also give us
some
understanding of what tactics and methods might be most effective.
Here is a discussion of the merits of working with the Democratic party
to take back this country. And the potential for change...
The Democratic Party, with all of
its warts and wrinkles, remains
the only show in town...
and will remain so this November...
Marginalization is a matter of political
expediency. Gore won the presidency
by appealing to voters with a populist
message. In spite of the party.
We have three tasks ahead.
Remind the Democratic party who
they are and where they come from.
Wake up the Republican party by
exposing what they have become.
and third... take back the mechanisms of
democracy by replacing the faulty voting
machines before November.
We must inspire courage in our fellow
citizens, or the politics of fear win. The
media war can be won, from the inside
out and from the outside in. From our
keyboards to the streets, in this new,
globally-interconnected world, we will
be heard.
When bad decisions have corporate
costs, even our worst enemies begin
to rethink positions. If we adopt new
tactics we can win some of this battle
in the marketplace of capitalism.
Peace and prosperity are a marketing
bonanza. Death, Destruction, and Deficits
are getting rather stale... and costly.
With relatively modest (and noble) organizing,
Wal Mart blinked... and Wall street listened
to what were mostly grassroots efforts. We
have more power than we might imagine.
Local politics are what has always reshaped
the party at the National level. That reform
has had national and global repercussions.
The extremists at the helm are on the ropes.
While I share your impatience and frustration,
I see no other options. We we have only begun
to fight. And we are no longer a silent majority.
