A question...
I watched an informative program on the public access channel last
night. It was about how television and print news has been hijacked by
a self-interested corporate oligarchy. I understand that there is
legislation afoot that would do away with public access television.
Does anybody know anything about this, and who I should write to protest
such legislation?

This has been the case for well over a decade.
The notion of a "liberal media" is truly Orwell.
When faces are counted, there are very, very few "liberals" on tv,
mostly segregated on Sunday morning shows, and mostly the old hack libs like Ted
Kennedy.
Looking 24-7 at the "news" channels CONS and hard righties outnumber middle-roaders
(who are, incorrectly, called the "left") anywhere from three to one to 10 or 15
to one.
This is also true on NPR, where CON "think tanks" (PR firms) talking
heads invariably outnumber objective centrists or liberals, often two or
three or four to one.
