I want to personally thank Frank Goulard for his leadership and technical expertise in helping the team get to an agreement.

These were bad times
to negotiate  a contract.
We will have to do it
again in two years.

Maybe by then the economy will
have turned around.

While other unions are losing people
and being furloughed, we were able to save
jobs for our people.
I am very proud to have been
a part of this team. Congratulations to us all, but
we can’t rest; there are many more
battles to fight and much more work to do.

State Legislator, PCCFFAP member, PCC instructor

Rep. Michael Dembrow represents D 45: NE Portland, Parkrose and the City of Maywood Park.

What did Barack Obama say about Community Colleges?
At the August meeting of the PCCFFAP Executive Council, the office of the PCCFFAP Publicist
was declared vacant.  Since Tim Flanagan, a part-time instructor at PCC, is currently between teaching
assignments and only pays dues to the parent Federation, his reelection was set aside by President
Eddie Lincoln PCCFFAP.  The Executive council members who attended the August 7 meeting voted
to endorse this declaration.

A note from Tim.

" It has been a joy and privilege to serve on the Executive Council for the Past seven years.
I will continue to serve on the steering committee of Jobs with Justice and provide information
resources for working families through Fifth Monday Labor Radio, the  PCC Issues list,
MYPCC, and a variety of private list servers, blogs, web pages, and local publications.
I thank the members of local 2277 who voted to re-elect me as publicist.  I am honored by
this endorsement of my service.  While I no longer serve on the executive council, I stand in
solidarity with my union brothers and sisters because together, we really do make a difference."

with best regards, Timothy Flanagan
