Response, We are very, VERY close to having the 31 votes in the Oregon House we need to pass the Guard Home Bill! Can you join us tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th at a Town Hall meeting with Representative Jules Bailey (aka "Java with Jules") to help us persuade Speaker of the House Dave Hunt to back this legislation? The more people we have at this meeting, the more likely we’ll get those final handful of votes to make this happen! Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 AM, at the SEIU Union Hall at 3536 SE 26th here in Portland for this important community meeting with Representative Jules Bailey and House Speaker Dave Hunt. In solidarity for peace, PPRC General Meeting Subject: Join us this Saturday with special guest Speaker Dave Hunt Friends, Last Friday was the final day to schedule bills to be heard to pass out of policy committees. Now both floor sessions and policy committees are hearing many bills at a time, and more of my time is spent both on the floor and in committee. I am very much looking forward to you joining me and special guest Speaker of the House Dave Hunt this Saturday at SEIU Local 49 for a special “Java with Jules.” This is a great way to learn more about the Legislative process while also being able to share your ideas with the Speaker. We will give a mid session update, and talk about policy proposals and the budget reality that this session faces. Please see details below on the event.
