Nutrition Services Workers Will Rally - Again

   After 10 months of bargaining, Nutrition Service workers at Portland Public Schools have yet to reach an agreement with the School District.

   The District insists on health care take-backs — including a proposal to eliminate health care for all newly hired part-timers.

   Low-wage workers cannot afford to pay more out-of-pocket for their health care. Doing so would result in a pay cut for many (or most) of these workers.

What you can do to help

   Come out and support your brothers and sisters in the Portland Public Schools at their rally on Monday, Jan 23 at 6:00 pm - PPS Administration Building, 501 N. Dixon, Portland OR.

Help send a clear message to the School District that health care cost-shifting is not the answer.
