I was born in St. Louis, Missouri.  For the past seven and a half years I have lived in Oregon, mostly
in Lake Oswego. (Currently in SE Portland)  I like to read, write, teach, tutor, edit, and publish. For
relaxation I enjoy writing, reading, bicycling, gardening, and playing chess, cribbage, or pool.
My primary passions in life are writing, teaching, learning, research, social change, and civic-commitment.
