On September 19, 2007 Mayor Tom Potter
announced that visionPDX would begin building a Vision into Action
Coalition to organize community groups, government, businesses and
other partners willing to work collaboratively on ideas expressed in
our community vision (http://www.visionpdx.com/reading_room/vision_document/).
We are currently seeking community
members who are interested in serving on the Vision into Action
Coalition's Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will be
comprised of 15-20 people who reflect Portlanders' diverse cultures,
perspectives and experiences. Committee members will come from a
variety of backgrounds, from business people and neighborhood
advocates to educators, artists and government employees. Those
interested in serving on the Steering Committee are asked to apply
for consideration (for full instructions, see the attached
announcement). APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Interested community members are asked
to submit a letter of no more than two pages in length with the
information and answers to questions below. The deadline is
Friday, February 8, 2008 at 5:00 PM.

Two references (with contact information) who are
knowledgeable about the applicant's skills and perspective
related to serving on the VIA Coalition Steering Committee.
In addition, applicants are asked to respond to the

diversity and broad range of perspectives. Please tell us

perspectives you would bring to the Coalition.
